Exploring Licensed Lay Ministry

The diocese has recently expanded the possibilities for licensed lay ministry. Are you discerning whether you are called to one of them? Or wondering if this might be a good thing in our parish?

Come for a day of discernment, information, and conversation.

  • Learn more about the different ministries and what they entail.
  • Hear from lay leaders with long experience of licensed lay ministry as well as from VST (Vancouver School of Theology) and the certificate programs available.
  • Get the details on what you and the parish need to do to make an application for licenses from the diocesan Missioner for Christian Formation.
  • Have small group conversation to discern what your next steps in LLM (Licensed Lay Ministry) may be.

St. Anne's Walkers

 

St. Anne's has started a walking group.
 
We meet on Monday morning -- weather permitting. We gather at 11:00 am in Steveston & spend the next hour or so rambling, at a gentle pace, along the dykes. After that, we find a cafe where we sit & socialize.

Gospel Based Discipleship starting on Wednesday, April 15

Join us on Wednesdays evenings in the Season of Easter for Gospel Based Discipleship Bible Study.

We will spend time focused on the Gospel readings and ask ourselves:

  1. What word(s), idea(s), or phrase(s) stand out for you?
  2.  What is Jesus (the Gospel) saying to you?
  3.  What is Jesus (the Gospel) calling you to do?
