Mid week Check-inFrom the Rector's Desk As part of my commitment to the Season of Creation, I signed up to receive Daily Devotions for the season from the Episcopal Diocese of Western Massachusetts. Each morning, I receive an email focused on an animal; it shares a bit about that day's animal, offers a spiritual reflection, and then includes a prayer. On the day I'm writing this reflection (Tuesday), I opened the email to find that I was asked to reflect on the moose. This feels very fitting, as I am currently in Whitehorse, YT, with a team from our Ecclesiastical Province. We are here to teach people from across BC and the Yukon about Congregational Development. It is so beautiful here. The reflection today states that moose are important indicators of health in an ecoregion. I have yet to see a moose. I suspect they avoid the city, but they can be spotted in the wilderness nearby. It was a clear day on Sunday when we flew in, and I could see the vast landscape outside the window—forests, lakes, and mountains. Sometimes I think that living in the city makes it easy to forget the balance and beauty that God has woven into the natural world, and how vital each animal, plant, bird, and bug is to the ecosystem. I am grateful during this season to receive daily reminders of the animals that have been chosen and to be here this week, surrounded by nature. If you would like to receive these reflections, you can sign up here See you on Sunday, Marnie

St Anne's CookbookWe are creating a cookbook of your favorite recipes. We would love the cookbook to showcase the diversity of our community at St. Anne's, so please consider your family's favorite dish. What do you make for your kids when they come home for dinner? What is your most asked-for cookie or dessert? There is a sign-up sheet outside the office for your name, the recipe you are willing to contribute, and your contact information.
Recipes can either be sent to Noella at the office at stannes@telus.net, or if you want to bring in a physical copy, we have a file in the office. Cookbooks will be sold at the Christmas bazaar this year. If you have any questions, please speak to Monika Follett or Cliff Caprani
