Mid week Check-inFrom the Rector's Desk If you are paying attention to the readings through the Season of Easter, you will notice that the first reading is different from what is listed on the online lectionary that I link to, or from what we typically read in the season of Easter. The reason for that is that this past year, alternate Old Testament readings were offered by the National Church and approved by our Diocese to try out. If you would like to read more about the reason for this and the justification for this work, you can read the document here. You may not have even noticed. Often, when changes like this are made, we don't talk about it with our congregations. Usually, the clergy just decide whether to use or ignore the offering. But I have been trying to open up liturgy planning, I want to include those of you who are interested in the planning and implementation of our communal liturgical gatherings. That's what the Liturgy Guild is about, and that's why I'm telling you this. I'd be curious to know what you think. See you on Sunday. With gratitude for our ministry together. Marnie
