On Sunday, September 8th we will celebrate the start of a new School year with a Blessing the Backpacks for all students and teachers. So don’t forget to bring your backpacks to church that day to be blessed! In addition, we will again be gathering new backpacks for children who need them. You are invited to buy a new backpack, maybe buy a few school supplies to throw inside, and bring it with you to be blessed on September 8th. These new backpacks will be donated to the Richmond School Board settlement program which helps new families, particularly those in need, settle into school and our community.
